About the Role

We are seeking Assistive Technology Trainers all over the UK. However, our urgent locations include Canterbury, Staffordshire, Cardiff and London. To provide training in assistive technology (software and hardware) to disabled people and people with specific learning differences including (dyslexia, AD(H)D, Asperger’s, autism, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and dyspraxia) in education or the work place. To deliver training according to individual learner’s needs. Training provided.

Main Duties and responsibilities

Undertake initial short assessment in order to establish specific requirements of the individual appropriate to their disability
Train client on how to use specific software or hardware recommended in referral according to individual’s specific requirements, training provided if necessary
Ability to learn new assistive software and hardware as required
Attend any relevant training or meetings and have the ability to develop existing skills
A flexible approach to working hours is required
Always be punctual
Maintain a high standard of presentation whilst representing Onyx Student Support.
Location - We provide support across all of the Colleges and Universities within the UK. You will receive referrals within your local area or preferred working radius.

Requirements

None required but should have experience within IT/Technology/Computing and preferred experience of tutoring/training.
